The unique biodiversity in Malaysia makes this country a global hotspot for different aspects of research. Many European and non-native research activities are conducting by groups, whereas local institutions also collaborate with them to explore the pristine nature west (peninsular Malaysia) East (Sarawak Sabah province). is located Borneo Island, area huge. current review work scrutinized information about on aquatic bivalve species their investigation. This investigation revealed, date 28 publications were published bivalves from eastern Malaysia, where biodiversity, conservation ecology was major aspect other aquaculture, natural history taxonomy, nutritional study, reproduction bivalve, morphology, pollution can be mentionable. portion not investigated it assumed that many still reported.
